1.) |
Eligibility |
a) All players must be on the Official Team Roster dated July 17, 2009 (or
later) |
|
|
|
|
• A team found to be guilty of using
an ineligible player at any time, shall forfeit the game to their opponents. |
|
|
|
|
• The Captain and Vice-Captain of any
team found to have played an ineligible player will be suspended for 2 games |
|
|
|
|
b) All teams may register and dress up to eighteen (18) players |
|
|
|
|
c) All players should be dressed in the league issued identical uniforms -
sweaters, socks and shorts. It is the responsibility of the Team Captain or
Representative to ensure that any registered player without their normal uniform
wear a shirt or uniform that closely resembles the team colors. If such clothing
cannot be provided to the satisfaction of the opposing captain (not the
referee), the player is not eligible to play that game. Black or white shorts
and black or white socks are permitted |

|
d) Where a team does not anticipate fielding a full team, properly registered
players from the associated junior/senior team are permitted, to a maximum of 13
players. Junior players must be born prior to 1980 to be permitted to play
senior games (goalies excepted). Call-ups are not permitted to play after
half-time if there are 13 team-registered players. |

Where a Captain (or team representative in his absence) has concern as to the
eligibility of an opposing player, he should approach the opposing Captain (or
team representative in his absence) to request an inspection of the team roster
to ensure the suspected unregistered player is included. That player can be
requested to provide proof of address, etc. to confirm his eligibility. If the
team roster is unavailable or the player unable to provide proof of address, a
formal protest as outlined under Rule 5 should be filed. |

2.) |
Equipment |
a) The first team listed on the schedule is the home team |
|
|
|
|
b) The home team shall supply the games sheet and stamped addressed envelope to
the referee |
|
|
|
|
c) The home team will supply the game ball. |

3.) |
Duration of Play |
All games will consist of two 45 minute halves; Halftime will be 5 minutes |
|
|
|
|
Games not commencing on time may be reduced in length to 2 equal halves of at
least 35 minutes at the discretion of the referee. Should a game in progress be
terminated due to weather conditions after 60 minutes of play has been
completed, the game shall be considered completed and the score at termination
shall stand. If the game does not reach 60 minutes, it will be replayed on the
first available Saturday no earlier than noon where the teams have no game on
the previous Friday night. |

4.) |
Disciplinary |
a) All incidents will be handled per OSA rules. |
|
|
|
|
b) A player who receives a red card for violent conduct or abusive language
towards an official will receive an automatic three (3) game suspension, as per
O.S.A. disciplinary rules, highlights elsewhere on this web-site. |

5.) |
Protests |
In case of a dispute, the Ajax Adult Recreational Soccer Club Disciplinary
Chairman, League President and the Vice President |

|

must be contacted within 48 hours of the end of the disputed game and the
written protest accompanied by a $150.00 protest fee (essentially $10 per
player). In the event that the protest is not upheld, the fee will be forfeited.
Protests regarding referee's decisions will not be considered. |

6.) |
Points/Standings |
Points will be awarded as follows: Win 3 points / Tie 1 point / Loss 0
points |
|
|
|
|
Seasonal Standings will be determined by the following criteria: 1.) Most
points. 2.) Head to Head record - tied teams only |
|
|
|
|
3.) Fewest Red Cards 4.) Fewest Yellow Cards 5.) Where 1st or 2nd place is
at stake, a tie-breaking game will be played |

7.) |
No Show |
Teams should be present at the scheduled field, ready to play and have completed
game sheets at least 10 minutes in advance |
|
|
|
|
a) Should a team be unable to field 7 players (including the goalie) at the
scheduled kickoff time or become unable to field 7 |
|
|
|
|
players at any time thereafter, then that team shall forfeit the game and
a score of 1-0 will be recorded in favour of the opposing team. |

8.) |
Substitutions |
Unlimited substitutions will be allowed during a game, but may only be made in
the following stoppages in play by Referee |

throw-in ONLY IF they are making a substitution 5.) For an injured player at the
referees discretion. No substitution will be allowed for a player ordered from
the field by the referee. |

9.) |
Weather |
All fields are leased to the Ajax Adult Recreational Soccer Club by the Town of
Ajax and Town of Whitby. Often due to poor |
|
|
|
|
weather or other circumstances, the fields must be closed; usually this is done
by 4pm and players should check the relevant Town Hotlines: • Ajax Parks &

Games are played only if in the opinion of the referee field conditions are
safe; games will be stopped during lightning or other hazardous weather
conditions and then continue once it is safe for play to resume. Stoppage of
play due to weather will be at the discretion of the referee. The OSA suggested
15-minute lightning rule will apply. |
