FIELD CLOSURES
Players can check for field closures by calling the
Field Hotline at 905-619-2529 Ext. 3330 by 11 a.m. each weekday. It is best to check closer to
game time in case there are any updates. AARSC will attempt to notify Captains of any field
closures, but it may not always be possible. Captains are to use their discretion regarding
poor weather conditions and in the event of uncertainty, field closures can be determined by
calling the Field Hotline. Captains are also to note that if the fields will be damaged by our use,
we need to exercise discretion when deciding to play. It is our intent to ensure games commence on the
days they are scheduled, but decisions are made by the Town of Ajax and the Town of Whitby.
Please respect their decisions.
CALL UP RULE
Where a team does not anticipate fielding a full team, only properly
registered players from the respective division team are permitted to play. Maximum of 16 players. These
players must be listed on the game sheet prior to the start of the game. The players that are in attendance
and are not expected to play must be noted on the game sheet. Junior players must be born prior to 1981 in orde
to be permitted to play in the Senior games.(Note: Goalies, Captains, Sons and/or Nephews of Senior players are
accepted). Once a total of 16 players are recorded on the game sheet, no additional players may be added during
the game. This rule is to be adhered to otherwise the game will be forfeited to their opponents.
PLAYER CONDUCT
Please familiarize yourself with the red and yellow card
rules. There seems to be some confusion as to what is acceptable language. AARSC rules do note that profanities
and aggressive behaviour around the soccer field is not acceptable. There is often young children in attendance.
Please be aware and consciousness of this.
